Who is xetto®?

The xetto® is a heavy lifter. It is a transport and loading device that offers versatile and flexible applications and appreciably simplifies work. It only takes one person a few simple steps to load xetto® along with the goods into any light work truck – without exertion.

What sectors is xetto® intended for?

The xetto® is being introduced as a brand for trade, business, commerce and intralogistics. Target groups in trade and industry include industrial mechanics, electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, carpenters, cabinetmakers, joiners, metalworkers, welders. Target groups in the intralogistics field are processing and manufacturing firms.

Is it possible to transport high-value and sensitive goods safely?

With xetto®, it is possible to transport and lift even high-value and sensitive goods and products safely and without accidents. Custom accessories, such as automatic lashing straps or tarpaulins, quickly and reliably secure the cargo in need of transport or protect it against rain and dirt.

Brakes prevent the system from inadvertently rolling away and allow you to safely transport the cargo in your vehicle.

How robust and durable is the xetto® designed?

Does the use of xetto® require a forklift operator’s certificate?

For the use of xetto® no operating permit whatsoever is needed.

Who is permitted to operate xetto®?

Anyone over 16 years of age is permitted to operate xetto®. However, it is important to note that only trained persons are allowed to operate xetto®.

Where is xetto® sold?

The xetto® is sold via distributors. You can find them here on our website.

Where can I find information about technical data, the year of manufacture and the serial number?

You can find this information on the nameplate of xetto®. It is positioned on the left side of the operating unit.

Where can I find general assistance and instructions on how to operate xetto®?

Instructions and assistance can be found in the operating manual and must be observed when using the product.

How long is the warranty?

Extract from the terms and conditions, point 6:
6.5 The warranty claims become statute-barred after 12 months after delivery of the object of sale, in the case of a consumer purchase in accordance with Art. 210 Paragraph 4 swiss obligation law, however, 24 months after delivery.

How much does xetto® weigh?

The xetto® weighs approx. 95 kg (210 lb).

What is the maximum allowable payload?

The maximum allowable payload is 250 kg (550 lb).

How do I have to secure xetto® in my vehicle?

The xetto® must be secured with a lashing strap on each of the 4 airline track style rails in accordance with applicable regulations, using a tensile load of at least 650 kN.

How am I able to load goods onto/off xetto®?

By using a ramp, which is available as an original accessory item you can load rollable machinery and tools onto xetto®. Additionally, xetto® can be loaded manually, by crane, or by forklift truck.

Are inclinations of > 2.5% a problem?

Use of xetto® is permitted up to an inclination of 2.5% to ensure stability in all operating states.

Service

Does xetto® require regular maintenance?

In accordance with the Operational Safety Ordinance, the xetto® must be inspected at least once a year by a qualified technician. This interval should be shortened with heavy use or under more difficult usage conditions. The maintenance work is conducted by a qualified technician according to a specific maintenance checklist. After the inspection has been completed, a copy of the maintenance checklist is provided to the user as verification.

Safety

What safety features does xetto® have?

  • There is a key-operated switch to prevent unauthorized use by third parties as well as a 2-button operation which prevents a lifting motion from being inadvertently triggered.
  • Brakes to secure xetto® are located on both sides on the castors.
  • The load area has a locking mechanism and is equipped with a non-slip mat.
  • A variety of options exist for securing xetto® in the vehicle using airline track style rails and for lashing the cargo on xetto®.
  • The safety stop during the telescopic extension provides safety against tilting.
Were guidelines and standards taken into consideration in the development and design?

Yes, xetto® was designed and developed in accordance with the generally applicable Machinery Directive. Additionally, xetto® satisfies the relevant harmonization legislation provisions of the EU, and consequently the criteria for the EC declaration of conformity. In accordance with the EC declaration of conformity, the CE marking is provided on the nameplate of every xetto®.

What quality requirements does the manufacture of a xetto® meet?

Each individual xetto® undergoes an in-depth functional test prior to delivery to the customer. The xetto® is manufactured under the requirements of the ISO TS 16949 Quality Management System. This standard is an additional automotive requirement and based on DIN EN ISO 9001.

Does the use of xetto® require safety gear?

Yes, safety shoes according to EN ISO 20345, Category S1 (A+FO+E). Additional protective gear may be needed at your own discretion and depending on the load being transported.
